The Flagstop Play Project & Actor Mentorship Program 2023 is a theatre arts incubation program that highlights BC playwrights, actors and directors.
We ask writers to submit One Act plays to be produced/directed as part of the 2023 Flagstop Theatre Mentorship Program and ultimately performed at the Flagstop Theatre and Arts Festival in Whistler in August.
Finalist plays will be selected from a varied cross section of BC based playwrights (new and established). The jury will be looking for unique voices, rich in cultural and social diversity. The three finalists plays will be produced/directed by three different directors; one play will selected from a First Nations, Métis or Inuk (Inuit) playwright and be directed by a First Nations, Métis or Inuk (Inuit) director in their community, one play will be produced in Whistler and one in the Lower Mainland.
Call for submissions opens on February 9th, 2023!
