Description:
Join local artist, muralist and professor of fine arts Lacey Jane for a fun evening of wine and painting wildlife in a casual setting. All skill levels are welcome, whether you are a proficient painter or have never held a brush before, this class is open to all. Sunday May 26th, we will be painting Whistler’s Hoary Marmot, the namesake of our town! All art materials are provided, and first glass of wine is on us!
Bio:
Lacey Jane Wilburn (b. 1988, Edmonton, Alberta) is a contemporary artist most notable for her figurative and architectural paintings that oscillate between gesture and reality.
Wilburn studied Fine Art at the University of Grant MacEwan in Edmonton in 2009, received her Bachelors of Fine Art with Great Distinction from Concordia University in Montreal in 2016, including a semester abroad at the l’Ecole d'Enseignement Supérieur d'art de Bordeaux in France, and in 2022, graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design with a Master’s in Fine Art.
