Ira Pettle Bio
Ira Pettle is a performing artist and arts educator. Having originally trained as an actor, he is a key player in BC’s performing arts scene, most notably in Whistler, where he was named the 2019 Champion of Arts and Culture at the Whistler Excellence Awards. His debut record, A Little Bit, was just nominated for Children's Artist of the Year at the 2023 Western Canadian Music Awards. Also known as ‘DJ Ira’ throughout the Sea to Sky corridor, he is already one of BC's most sought-after family entertainers. A graduate of the acclaimed Second City Conservatory Program in Toronto, with a Master of Education, Ira is supported by more than 25 years of experience performing, producing and teaching theatre.
